NICK KNOWLES

Although Nick is best known for presenting DIY SOS, he has also presented Who Dares Wins, Real Rescue City Hospital, Departure Lounge Squad and Last Choir Standing all for the BBC. Nick brings his own unique style of presenting to the show, joining in the fun with the team and befriending the contributors as he gets to know them and finds out more about their stories.
MARK MILLAR

Mark served his apprenticeship as a carpenter in Ireland in the late 1970's. Now based in Bristol, he's worked as a carpenter for the last 30 years all over the UK, Europe and the USA. Mark is the teams gaffer and never shies away from a challenge! He's full of energy and blarney but can get a bit lippy if you let him loose on the coffee
JULIAN PERRYMAN

Julian started his building career at 16, building new houses with his father. He’s a general builder but can often be seen doubling up with his childhood friend Chris and helping out with the plastering. He has a very broad knowledge of modern and traditional types of properties and always is able to find the humour in most situations! An original DIY SOS team member, he’s a proper Devon Boy through and through.
CHRIS FREDIANI

Chris started plastering at 17. He started at the bottom and has worked his way up through the ranks and is now a very versatile plasterer, working with not only modern but traditional plasters here and abroad. He’s been on DIY SOS since day one and has a positive attitude to any job. He lives in and loves his home life in Devon, likes travelling around the country but loves going home more.
BILLY BYRNE

Billy is another one of the original DIYSOS team with 11 years and 19 series under his belt. He learned his trade in the 1960s and ended up working in the film industry. He understands modern wiring demands and regulations. As his nickname (The Prince of Darkness) indicates, he’s the clown of the team. A loveable, likeable team member, Billy is often the butt of the jokes but the programme wouldn’t be the same without him.
MAT SKELTON

Mat is the newest member of the team and is a recent convert to the building trade. He has his own property development project that keeps him busy when he’s not filming with DIY SOS. Chris is always delighted to see him wield his trowel and hawk.
